Alliance Pre-Conference

The Alliance Fall Conference will feature multiple concurrent sessions during the Pre-Conference event on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019. The Pre-Conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

From 9:30-11:30 a.m., the three options are:

  • Option 1 features a session entitled "Now What?" STRTP & FFA Implementation Following Provisional Licensure: Q&A Panel Addressing Next Steps for Completing the Mental Health Program Application, Medi-Cal Certification & Contracting and Implementing Specialty Mental Health Services. Two Behavioral Health Consultants, Monica Hendrix and Jennifer Cardenas, will present along with Alex Zandueta, Vice President of Planning, Reporting and Analysis with Hathaway-Sycamores Child & Family Services.
  • Option 2 is a session entitled How Harm Reduction Approach is Applied in Placement Settings with Kelley Hartman Barr, Analyst, Child Trafficking Response Unit, Child Welfare Policy & Program Development Bureau, CDSS.
  • Option 3 includes two one-hour sessions. From 9:30-10:30 a.m., Joshua Ciszek from INP Partners will be discussing how to Get Data Ready – How to Collect Data and Leverage It. Then, from 10:45-11:45 a.m., Levi Gelineau and Chris Stickney from United Agencies Insurance will present Finders Keepers Losers Weepers II … A Deeper Look Into Retaining Your GenX’s and Millennial’s.

In the afternoon from 1-3 p.m., there are three concurrent sessions:

  • Hiring the Right People Using Behavioral Interviewing with Kevin King, Lead Trainer, Seneca Institute of Advanced Practice, STRTP Certification Team.
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI) for Leadership with Elizabeth Barnett, Trainer and Consultant, Motivational Interviewing for Change.
  • Trauma-Informed Transformation: An Organizational Journey with Melissa Santos, Senior Director of Professional Development and Organizational Initiatives, Community Solutions.

There is a $50 charge for CEU’s, but there is no additional charge for the pre-conference; it is included in the price of the full conference.
